Lemon Buttermilk Scones

Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Stir in buttermilk, mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, and almond extract until a smooth dough is formed. Using floured hands, gently form a large spoonful of dough into a triangular shape. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
