In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, parsley and salt. In a medium bowl, whisk the Duke’s, buttermilk, and scallions. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients until just combined. In a deep-fat fryer or large pot, heat oil to 365°F. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter into the oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
